The site was originally an old coal mine, operating from the 1800s until 1915. You can still see the remnants of the old shaft and brickworks, as well as the historic paymaster’s building, which is visible from Cunningham Highway. The property is shaded by plenty of trees and has a creek running through it. Nearby, you’ll find the old heritage tourist railway that offers rides, as well as a mining museum just up the road.
