Experience serene, exclusive camping on an 80-acre working farm at Lake Haigslea, where natural beauty and peaceful dam views await just off the Warrego Highway.
Lake Haigslea Farm, located just off the Warrego Highway at Haigslea, is an 80-acre working property offering an exclusive camping site. Please note that the property is temporarily closed due to flood damage, but updates can be found on their Instagram page @lakehaigsleafarm.
The campsite is easily accessible with its own gated entrance for self check-in and check-out. Positioned next to a 14-acre dam, the site also features a smaller, private dam with hidden spots to explore. The smaller dam is home to the “Quack Shack,” where nine free-range geese roam freely, either exploring the banks or swimming in the water.
The larger dam is ideal for launching a stand-up paddleboard, canoe, or simply floating around on inflatables, where you might spot turtles or eels. It’s also great for swimming, but jumping from the pontoon is not recommended due to varying water levels and potential submerged debris, such as trees. As always, it’s important to use common sense when swimming in natural water sources.
