Overview
Brisbane Greeters reflect the warmth and hospitality for which the city is celebrated. Over the past eight years, they have shared their love for Brisbane with more than 80,000 visitors.
Exploring Brisbane through the eyes of a skilled and enthusiastic local is one of the best ways to experience the city. These friendly volunteers are proud ambassadors, eager to share Brisbane’s stories, showcase its highlights, and introduce you to its vibrant atmosphere.
With more than eight unique tours on offer, you can choose to explore the city’s dynamic suburbs or dive into its fascinating history.
Whether you’re a lifelong resident, visiting loved ones, or settling into Brisbane as your new home, the Greeters are excited to welcome you. The program boasts over 100 volunteers who offer tours in more than 20 languages, making it accessible to everyone.
The health and wellbeing of both Greeters and participants remain a top priority, with all tours conducted in a COVID Safe environment.
The Brisbane Greeters Program will continue offering free walking tours, supporting Council events and festivals, and extending its reach into the city’s lively suburbs alongside Brisbane’s central areas.

Greeter’s Choice
Discover Brisbane through the perspective of a friendly local with a Greeter’s Choice tour.
Your Greeter will guide you on an engaging journey, sharing areas and topics they are most passionate about. You’ll experience the Brisbane they love and know best, gaining a unique insight into the city’s charm.
Departure: 10 am daily, seven days a week, from outside Brisbane City Hall (King George Square Entrance).

Your Choice
Curious about a specific side of Brisbane? With a Your Choice tour, you can tailor your experience by selecting what interests you most.
Choose up to three interests and/or one area to explore, and your Greeter will design a tour around your preferences.
